About Us:
Bonjour le monde, It's Allie and Maddie here!
We're the French speaking Tri Delta Baylor business majors who laugh really loud and have been inseparable since the moment we met. The idea to spend a semester in France together came to us freshmen year in the middle of a study abroad seminar. We were listening to the business majors describe their experiences and Maddie blurted out "What if we studied abroad TOGETHER in France?!?" And then Allie piggy-backed and said, "We could be on one of these panels and we would be so OBNOXIOUS!" and so here we are. A year later, our sophomore Spring is to be spent in the lovely town of Aix-en-provence in southern France. We hope to gain fluency in French, a more global view on business practices to enhance our Marketing degrees, and make the cutest mems ever. Along the way we're blogging here in order to remember every baguette and crêpe we eat, track our growth through experiences and maybe even throw some advice your way on what we learn about French language, culture, life in general, college, photography, art, music, and ourselves.

Maddie "Mads" Deyo
Je suis... sassy, bubbly, energetic
Best known for: crying when I laugh, and eating a steady diet of poptarts, dinosaur chicken nuggets, and Easy Mac
Majors: Accounting and Marketing
Fun Fact: Deyo comes from the French "de Joux" and I'm pretty sure my ancestors have a castle (château) near Switzerland
More Stuff: I'm obsessed with Monet and I keep making the joke that I want to go to Giverny to meet him. so I'm super pumped for that.
Probably Wearing: I pretty much wear black leggings, a sports bra, some gray top and a high side pony-tail everyday of my life
Favorite French phrase: Je suis accro au chocolat! I'm addicted to chocolate.
Also ever since I learned that avec meant "with" I've substituted it every time so be prepared for that.

Allie "Al" Buckmaster
Je suis... quirky. lovable, bold with color
Best known for: my contagious laughter that comes out like more of a snort or a cackle
Majors: Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Human Resources
Fun Fact: I run a gourmet peanut butter business
More Stuff: I'm taking a photography class this semester!!!
Probably wearing: Sometimes I wear navy with black and I have a purse that looks like a cat. My signature look always includes my red leather jacket!
Favorite French phrase: Mon ami et moi, nous voulons manger. My friend and I, we want to eat.
When I started French in middle school, people always asked me to speak in French, so I used this phrase because it was simple, but sounded impressive!
