What Dreams Are Made Of

Every girl dreams of a Lizzie McGuire-type situation when they travel. I am no exception, and I've wondered what it would be like to meet a nice French boy who would teach me the ways of the French…(kissing?)

So imagine my surprise when I learned today that in my FRE 301 we were going to meeting French students, and working with them on a group project for the entire semester! After copious amounts of sweating and a serious case of shifty eyes (I mean, c’mon, this is intimidating I can barely speak full sentences in French), I began to appreciate the opportunity this would provide. The chance to speak French with locals besides our French families and the occasional vendeur (baker, sandwich seller, etc.) is very rare and will help us in our fluency.
Our French prof told us to spread out and that we couldn’t sit next to other American students. More sweating. I was whispering furiously to Laura who was a couple of seats away from me when they entered. And guess who sat next to me? A CUTE FRENCH BOY. I snapped this picture discretely during class today...and made it into a gif apparently.

Anyway, I’m not saying we’re going to fall in love but stay tuned…
TO BE CONTINUED.
À bientot, Al
